One thing we love to incorporate on a trip is a unique wellness activity that is relevant to the culture. In this case, it was a cacao ceremony and sound bath with these two beautiful souls in Mexico. 💫

When you travel, your mind is naturally more open due to elevated levels of serotonin, dopamine and endorphins triggered by sunshine, novelty, new people encounters and changing your routine which causes your subconscious to shift out of autopilot.

Research shows that travel truly has a positive influence on your mental health. Studies have shown an increase in creativity, happiness, brain function and lowered stress among people returning from a travel experience.

Ever have a life changing trip? For Marissa, it was Bali back in 2017. Her first solo trip where she met a group of international friends in Indonesia and it quite literally changed her life.

Amongst those friends, she met Kori, became inspired for a mission bigger than her own (to start what would later become Rise & Rove) and learned about the magic of meeting new people in a new place. And how fast lasting friendship bonds can form when you’re out of your element. 6 years later and she still keeps in touch with many of the group and even traveled with some of them again in other countries. 🙌🏼
